The Bel and the Dragon
Located next to Waitrose in Godalming, Surrey, this converted Church houses the cream-de-la cream of cuisine. The building is literally a gutted church with new interior stoiylin, maintaining furniture such as seating, stained glass windows and confession areas. It features two floors, one of which is basically a suspended wooden elevated area with seating/eating space.
- Staff service is excellent and they are very efficient and friendly.
- Food quality is also excellent, and I have been comparing every restaurant I have visited to this. It is the pinnacle of food finery.
- Prices are about £7-8 for the best Haddock and Chips. NO ketchup was needed for completion of the meal!
- In 3 words: Faultlessly Fantastic Food.
- Visit recommendation: A must!
James:
If Si says this needs no Ketchup guys, this must mean it is amazing, will go there when not incapicitated. Si was always one for ketchup in cereal so must be great.
Russ:
I've never really seen Si eat anything much without ketchup - it must be amazing if he skipped it!!
